I live in Lynn Valley and commute to downtown Vancouver. I rode a lot when I was young (including a summer bike commuting from Kerrisdale to Deep Cove in the early 80s) and got back into bike commuting several years ago. While I find that riding in traffic does not bother me I understand how intimidating it must be for new riders trying to discover bike commuting. My hope is that NS-VACC can help direct the various North Shore authorities to develop safe and efficient infrastructure for everyone to commute by bicycle.
