Goals & Objectives
- Appoint CNV Liaison and Events Coordinator
- Gaps have been outlined.
- Additional goal to involve stakeholders.
Events:
- Earth Day April 20 - Finn, Erika, Blake, and Derrick indicated they are available.
- Go by Bike Week June 3-9 - This is an opportunity to inform and recruit. We need 2 committee members at each station.
- Cargo Race - Tentatively a June date.
- VMFF - Film festival Feb/25 - Derrick has arranged that we can have a booth there for free.
City of North Vancouver:
- Don has spoken to staff about tweaking some of the traffic light settings for Cotton Road.
- Staff will inform us if Low Level road can have delineator posts and/or barriers.
Integrated Transit Committee - Dana has retired from the committee & Jonathan says they are moving at the pace of molasses in January.
First Nations - Kira
- TseilWaututh nation is understaffed and therefore unresponsive until they clear up a backlog.
District of North Vancouver - Duncan/Stephen/Stewart/Don
- East Spirit Trail will now move on to the next round of public consultations.
- Maps of proposed rote now online.
- Attendance strong at Mondays meeting. Estimates that half supportive, half sceptical at that meeting.
- A letter of support needs to be drafted - Stewart?
- North side of main project underway.
District of West Vancouver - Paul/Peter/Mike
- Peter/Paul met with DWV staff on Feb 5/24.
- Discussed were LGB to Cap road bike lane, Marine Drive gap at 25.
- Mayor met with Don, Laura Jane, Peter S, and Paul I September 9.
- Letter of support for MUP Horseshoe Bay to Squamish generated as a result.
- Meeting with Mayor set for March 11 tentatively.
- Action Item - Peter to determine time and place of meeting and convey to Rueben and Heather to encourage attendance.
- DWV has $60K set aside for traffic calming measures.
Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure - Mike/Don
- An effort will be made to resume dialog.
Communications & Outreach - Rueben/Paul/Heather
- Rueben's montage of images promoting the Spirit Trail
- Heather & HUBHO created a wiki info page on the Spirit Trail East extension.
- Ridelink app is live.
