Earth Day event - CNV - was held Sat, April 20th in Moodyville Park. Thanks to Blake, Erika, Finn, Kira, Derrick & Cathy for making this event a success.

1st annual Bike Festival - City hall Plaza, June 1st Sponsored by DNV, CNV, ICBC & North Shore Safety Council yes (need 4 people): Heather, Sophia, Erika 10-12: 12-2pm: Can't: Don, Paul J, Duncan There is confusion as to wether this station is part of GBBW. Paul J has contacted An Hoang for clarification.

Spring Go By Bike Week, June 3-9, 2024. Celebrations stations (2 per station): Mon, June 3, 4-6pm:, 13th & Argyle (Ambleside) - DWV: Peter + Paul S Sat June 1 9:30-12:30 Civic Plaza North Van??? City of North Vancouver - Don(temporary) No updates


First Nations - Kira First Nations have been contacted but no response as of yet.


District of North Vancouver - Duncan/Stephen/Stewart Stewart provided updates as noted in the agenda.


District of West Vancouver - Paul/Peter/Mike Peter updated us on various topics. Also Peter noted there will be a 7 May Environment Committee meeting that is open tp anyone interested. The time of the meeting is 4:30 p.m. and the location is the Cedar Room, 3rd floor of West Vancouver Community Centre. Through his work with DWV Environment Committee Peter would like to bring a motion to council that they explore funding:

  • Additional protected bike lanes (currently a scant 25 metres
  • Updates to the Mobility plan.
  • E-scooter trials.
  • Cycling route map updates.

Paul J brought up an opportunity that Cathy made us aware of: DWV is looking to add people to the Planning Committee:

Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure - Mike/Don MOTI has asked for an assessment of the performance of their maintenance contractor Miller Capilano Paul J will submit a response based on feedback from our meeting.


Communications & Outreach - Rueben/Paul/Heather Mike mentioned that Strava has a major initiative to provide cycling data termed Strava Metro not related to HUB establishing a "club" on Strava.
