Agenda for this meeting

Mission reflection

We agreed to review HUB’s mission at the beginning of the meeting to ground ourselves in the work that we do

COVID check-in

Colleen has had enough of COVID! The pandemic is really hard to deal with and we may just be getting started. It's going to be hard to do meaningful bike advocacy under these conditions but we'll give it a try.

Action plan update

Andrew is working on a draft here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VRhyjv56GyRwnjdd64PWEV_K_ywDsJ0sP2BX4LM_lHE/edit

Three committee priorities:

  1. Improve our relationship with municipalities: ok in Port Moody and Belcarra;needs work in PoCo and Coquitlam
  2. improve committee focus, and
  3. improve our visibility in the community.

Committee generally likes this plan. Everyone is invited to have a bash at the doc and add comments or just edit it. Andrew wants clarification on evaluation/measuring success; in contact with Evan H. about this

2020 20 in 20

Cancelled :-( I (Andrew) am getting tired of everything being cancelled but this was inevitable. It's a shame because it perfectly fits in with our first committee priority.

Coquitlam update

Scott S. is working on getting an email to Coquitlam staff. It's tough now because everything is so messed up.

PoCo bridge update

Kathryn was supposed to follow up and did not; information needed (but not readily available) before asking questions so as to sound somewhat knowledgeable about the issue - To continue working on this next month

App update

Dragana is interested in using our 20 in 20 app for mapping cycling kudos and problems, maybe for Bike Month. This seems like a great idea that could work with social distancing.

Any other business

Using join.me was somewhat disastrous. Next meeting May 5th on Zoom!
