- Liaisons to prepare Agenda for meetings with Mayors & Councillors - staff and some cycle-friendly councilors have seen the draft, working to arrange meeting before summer season
How do we measure progress on these goals? - currently struggling to have regular monthly meetings with staff due to time commitments of both parties

Meeting with CNV bylaw officer being scheduled with Heather. Focus on concerns with delivery vehicles blocking bike lanes in and around Lower Lonsdale / Esplanade. Although enforcement will help, major delivery companies treat it as the cost of doing business and design solution is needed. Erika noted a confrontation with a UPS driver who had blocked the Esplanade bike lane - response was they do it every day.
Ride was organized along Esplanade with Karen and staff from CNV/DNV to discuss options for the B-Line improvements. Talked about issues with current infrastructure and traffic levels. Appears to have made an impact but will see how the design details unfold.
Temporary relocation of SeaBus drop-off zone from Carrie Cates way to Esplanade. No issues yet with bike lane conflict but members urged to note any concerns.
Noted businesses obstructing sidewalks / bike lanes with sandwich boards, waste materials (e.g. automated car wash runoff south side of Main Street near IWMB). This would be a bylaws issue if there is no apparent ownership of the problem.

Riverside Drive delineators - concerns relayed to various levels of staff. Responses indicate the delineators were installed to protect walkers and those using transit but width is substandard and there is no provision for on-road riding (signage, speed limit reductions). No immediate action appears to be forthcoming other than future plans will address long term needs.

Follows Translink guidelines - should we consider pavement markings for supplemental guidance on high speed routes such as north end of bridge?

Mountain Highway / Brooksbank temporary configuration - corrective action request sent to MoTI regarding narrow bike lane and lack of protection on Keith Road. Bike lane was "partially" painted and still deficient despite almost immediate response to add dual turning lane capacity for vehicles. One positive note was prohibition of Right Turns on Red (which HUB lobbied for despite CNV's objections)on the eastbound and northbound approaches. Apparently due to motorist complaints these have since been watered down to an ambiguous "yield to opposing traffic" signs presumably to avoid conflict with opposing traffic - no acknowledgment of cycling conflicts.
Meeting with Jay Porter May 24 to discuss next phases of work
Concerns with bumps, hazards and unsafe overtaking on LGB - Peter T witnessed a serious crash heading northbound on his way to the meeting and HUB has received numerous concerns with the state of bumps on the downgrade - may need to escalate and ensure Bikemaps hazard is flagged. No immediate options available as there is currently signage but unfamiliar riders may not be able to handle combination of speed and abrupt bump. More awareness needed?
