HUB North Shore Committee holds regular meetings at 6:30pm - 8:30pm on the second Thursday of every month. Everybody is welcome. The meetings are at the North Vancouver City Library (14th/Lonsdale) in the Don Preston Boardroom (2nd floor).

2019 Objectives - Don

  • A couple proposals:
    • Define our Long term vision for cycling on the North Shore
      • Identify key cycling corridors and priorities - [hhttp://wiki.bikehub.ca/northshore/images/2/2f/NS-Bikeways_v7.pdf| North Shore Bikeways Proposal]
      • Assess alignment of these with existing master plans
      • Review these with Municipalities
      • Identify short term goals & what HUB-NS can do to help complete these.
        • Get buy-in and financial commitment from the Mayors & Councillors for these priorities
        • Work with planners on the segments (gaps) for these priority routes
    • Meeting with all Mayors & Councillors
      • Prepare Agenda for meetings - (at Jan meeting)
    1. Ask what % of Transport budget they think should be dedicated to “Active Transport”
    2. Ask what are their highest priorities for “Active Transport” and by when.
    3. Share our Goals
    4. Ask what are the major impediments to achieving these goals & what can HUB-NS can do to help make this happen?
    5. What else?
      • Arrange meeting between Liaison teams & each Mayor & Councillor (before mid Feb?)
