1. Bike to work:
Discussion of Port Coquitlam station. Would have to be led by local committee. Action item: Josh will approach CAPs.
Location? City Hall, Red bridge, CMO/Lougheed. No ideal location. Probably maximum traffic near city hall.
2. Mark Halpin from the City of Port Moody
Mark presented plans for the following new infrastructure:
-Plans for an on-street bike lane on Ungless Way (2014).
-Plans for on-street bike lanes for Heritage Mtn Blvd (2014).
-Plans for an off-street bike path on Murray St between the bridge and Electronic Avenue (2015).
-There is ongoing discussion of piggybacking a MUP along the Evergreen line parallel to the train tracks. This would replace the rather dodgy route along Spring street.
Feedback was provided to Mark regarding possible designs for Ungless and Heritage routes.
Andrew and Simon agreed to do an assessment ride to investigate the Ungless Way and Heritage mountain routes. Report is here: http://wiki.bikehub.ca/committees/index.php?title=HUB_Tri-Cities_Inspection_Ride_Reports
