Location:
United Boulevard, Coquitlam, section from Mayfair to Lougheed Highway Eastbound (route 7) on-ramp/Colony Farms Road
Length: 0.93 km
Problem:
PMH1 has built a nice bike lane on either side of United but it ends a 100m or so from 7B.
Recommendations:
Shoulder widths are good north bound until the Petro Canada station (Mayfair), then they are less than one meter. This section needs to be widened. No big cost. Road cyclists could use the shoulder on the Lougheed east bound on ramp. This seems to be the intention of MOTI, although they have prohibited similar access elsewhere (e.g. Pitt River Bridge)
