*Hub has a new tool similar to Google maps in that it incorporates layers to show our dataset of infrastructure work. Anyone can view it but to change it or add further data a form needs to be submitted. This is to protect the data’s integrity. Here is a link:

*Bike lane coming to NE Taylor way at Marine Drive. Peter to examine possibility of extending it north along unused right of way.

Peter received briefing from staff.
Bike lanes on Marine Drive will be extended from 33 to Travers this summer.
The Transportation plan has not been updated even though it was published in 2010 to cover 15 years.

*communications between our LC’s and the ministry have been difficult.
*For now we are providing input through their Active Transportation Committee.
*MOTI is now MOTT
*DNV is looking at making a decision on repainting Mountain Hiway overpass and baffle gates at tunnel under hiway 1.

  • North Shore museum is having a transportation exposition August 3. Looking for us to participate. Nicole is unable to be there. Don is reaching out to see if we can find another volunteer.

  • Helene is organizing a ride for August long weekend.Seymour demo forest.

CNV

  • no meetings currently scheduled. Andrew to assist.

District of North Vancouver - Duncan/Stephen/Stewart

  • pipeline bridge to close shortly for indeterminate length of time.
  • LGB detour in effect July 14 though October. MUP construction on marine drive eastbound.
  • District is looking for input on any issues with wayfaring signage. Best response is to file a “report a problem”.
