Andrew Updates
- Met with a Port Moody Councillor to discuss infrastructure and advocacy. Noted speaking up is the most important way to impact change
- Andrew believes St George Modal Filters would be very helpful for slow streets and creating a route parallel to St. John's east of Moody St where no safe route exists.
- Andrew intends to speak to PACs in the area regarding this next year.
- Andrew is doing a presentation to the Transportation Committee and wants to involve Seaview Elementary parents.
Action Item: Andrew to speak to Seaview Elementary parents
- Andrew met with Portwood developers and noted the door zone bike lane is now off to the side, out of the way of cars.
Colin Updates
- Met with MOTI regarding a confidential project to discuss impacts to bike routes and detours.
- Interviewed by the Tri-Cities Dispatch regarding biking to school
Action item: Colin to speak to Thomas Thivener in Coquitlam regarding updates on active transportation project planning
Vince Updates
- Noted United MUP may be under construction, or maybe private property project
- Contacted Porter Elementary regarding Go By Bike Week but no response received. PAC elections occurring currently. Likely shut down for the year.
Dragana Updates
- Obtained Bike to School Champions list and contacted group to hear more & meet.
- Noted Council meeting for Fraser Mills featured presentation by Beedie. Beedie expects to complete a trail along Como Creek by 2027 with a new bike/pedestrian pathway over Como Creek along the riverfront by 2027 as well.
