Letter to Port Moody transportation planners regarding their presentation at our November meeting, and letter to Coquitlam regarding their presentation at our December meeting

  • Action item* Jack to give the Coquitlam letter a rewrite

Objectives: - Guildford first, United Blvd below. - Include support for extension of Coq skytrain station access to Riverview lands. - Provide support, provide feedback. - Cc the letter to provincial Ministry - Include Leon as representative of Trails BC - Wayfinding after the Port Mann bridge.

  • Action item* Andrew to loop Fiona into the letters

- Andrew to take responsibility for second draft of Port Moody letter.

  • Action item* Andrew to send around Leon's map for Coquitlam, solicit comments

Committee to finish editing by a week today (Tuesday the 8th)


Andrew and Jack to visit Pottinger Bird Community Relations (Andres site developers) on January 3rd: let's think about what to discuss there.

Visits/ meetings to arrange in the new year:

PoCo: can we get a PoCo guest for our Feb/ March 6th meeting? Action item: Jack to email Meredith regarding alternatives to our previous speakers

Laura Jane, acting ED of HUB, wants us to arrange a meeting regarding a coalition (including HUB)'s proposed modernizations for the BC Motor Vehicle Act: www.bikehub.ca/mva

Road Safety Law Reform Group (David Hay) 26 changes proposed

  • Action item * Andrew to connect Geoff with Laura Jane

Work party for Mary Hill Bypass trail

- Committee resolved to meet at Argue Street pulloff area to work Saturday January 6th at 9 AM. - Simon to contact Beedie developer regarding areas south of United Blvd - Jack to send Andrew Hartline a copy of our recent letter of support for Coquitlam Sharpe lane

- Jason suggested an assessment ride to look at new PoCo infrastructure at Pitt River Rd/ McLean Ave intersection eastbound. TODO look at in February.
