Provincial Government

Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure

  • The MOTI is responsible for Highway 1 (TCH) and interchanges/ramps, Lions Gate Bridge, Iron Workers Memorial Bridge, roads and intersections near the Lynnmour Superstore (Mt Seymour Parkway, Lillooet Road south end, Fern Street overpass), and many other loactions across Metro Vancouver. Details of the MOTI Jurisdictional Maps for North Vancouver, West Vancouver & Vancouver can now be obtained by emailing the NS VACC user group list.
  • Mainroad Group is contracted by the MOTI to perform maintenance on the IWMB, LGB and Highway 1 according to a set of contractual rules regarding frequency, method, incident response time, sidewalks (including shared lanes on the bridges). The territory of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation includes the land around Burrard Inlet. Dollarton Highway is the main road through their reserve between Maplewood Flats and Deep Cove.
